Slabbert Pretorius – Managing Director (L.Th, BA, B.Th Honors)

wp_SlabbertPretoriusSlabbert Pretorius is the Managing Director of Southern Cross Educational Enterprises. Slabbert sees Biblical Worldview Education as an integral part of bringing Believers, young and old, to spiritual maturity. As a third generation missionary, Slabbert strives to lead as many people as possible to Jesus Christ. He is passionate to see SCEE support and serve all day schools, schools of distance education and home schools in every possible way.

Slabbert was called to the full-time ministry in 1979. He served as pastor in a large fellowship of local churches in Southern Africa for almost 30 years. He also served as Chairman of the Executive Youth Council for 11 years and chaired a church forum for a number of years. Slabbert is a Church Growth consultant and assisted in planting a large number of churches. Slabbert was appointed by his denomination to assess Accelerated Christian Education in the early eighties and followed the progress and growth of the A.C.E. Ministry with great interest. He used his business skills to turn around a faltering school and later served as the Senior Administrator and Principal of Vine Christian School, a school using A.C.E. Educational Resources.

Slabbert has been married to Anna-Marié for more than 30 years and they have two lovely daughters; Marcelle, a qualified pastor and business woman and Charlize a 2010 A.C.E. graduate. Charlize went on to successfully complete her university studies and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Australia. In 2014 the Lord added to the family a great young man Atraú, as Marcelle’s husband. The family resides in Brisbane, Australia.

Justin Croome – IT Coordinator

Justin CroomeJustin Croome is the IT Coordinator at Southern Cross Educational Enterprises. Justin has over 19 years of experience in the Information Technology Industry.

Justin was called to Pastor Horizon Baptist Church in 2009. The church is currently serving the Caboolture area. He has been an active church member for many years and served in various fields; Youth Ministries, Sunday School and various other areas of the Ministry. Justin and his wife Amy have two boys whom Amy is educating at home with A.C.E. Educational Resources. Justin and Amy strongly believes in the value of a Biblical Worldview Education.

Stuart Arthur – Accountant (CPA MPA)

Stuart Arthur

Stuart Arthur is the Accountant at SCEE. Stuart is a Member of CPA Australia and Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants. As the Accountant for Southern Cross Educational Enterprises, Stuart provides extensive skills in finance and management having attained a Graduate Certificate in Accounting and a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of New England, Armidale.

Much of Stuart’s career has been in the position of Chief Financial Officer and Financial Controller for distribution and service businesses, so he also contributes a wealth of over 20 years experience and expertise in this regard. Stuart’s broad experience has included accounting in both commercial and public practice environments with a predominant focus on the needs of small and medium size enterprises.

He is the father to seven children and with his wife, Misty, was involved in establishing a home-school co-operative for over 60 families and 200 students in Southeast Missouri, USA. Stuart was raised as a Christian and has had involvement in Youth Ministry and Missions.

 

Marcelle Paul – Executive Assistant

Marcelle PaulMarcelle Paul is the Executive Assistant at Southern Cross Educational Enterprises. Marcelle loves the heart and vision of SCEE as a ministry and strongly believes in the value of Biblical Worldview Education. Marcelle studied for a Bachelor of Law and also completed a Diploma in Management, Diploma in Ministry and a Certificate in Church Leadership.

She has served as the Youth and Young Adults Pastor of an Interdenominational Ministry for five years, and also worked full time in hospitality, before joining SCEE in 2012. Marcelle completed her A.C.E. Monitors’ Training and has worked part-time as a Monitor at a School using A.C.E. Educational Resources.
