Student Conventions

What is Student Convention?

Student Convention can be one of the most rewarding events in the student’s calendar. Students over 11 years of age, using the A.C.E. curriculum in schools and/or at home may attend the Regional Convention in their state and have the opportunity to move on to competition at South Pacific levels. They will also qualify for International Student Conventions once they have turned 13 years of age.

Student conventions are residential events, running for 3-5 days. They provide students with opportunities to compete in many events included in the areas of Academics, Athletics, Art and Craft, Music, and Platform (Speech and Drama).

Schools and families gain many advantages by participating in Student Convention For example:

  • Students learn new skills.
  • Students grow in confidence.
  • Students gain a sense of belonging.
  • Students place their personal educational experience into a larger perspective.
  • Students make new friends.
  • Spiritual growth is often a by-product of the fellowship, atmosphere and challenge of the evening rallies.
  • Develop Christian leadership skills.
  • Group activities provide opportunity for students to participate in group and team events.

24/7 Squad Service Teams

Individuals and/or groups of graduates, senior students and/or adults who are willing to volunteer their time and talents to serve others are always needed. These teams assist in the running and organization of Student Conventions across the South Pacific Region. Volunteers can also be part of the service teams that assist ACE schools in countries such as Vanuatu, Fiji, Solomon Islands and other countries across the South Pacific.

You don’t have to be an expert, just willing to serve!

One life, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for Christ. (24/7 Squad motto)
